Existing online resources about Morricone are fragmented and lack a unified narrative connecting his music, films, and artistic philosophy. The challenge was to create a cohesive digital platform that captures the cinematic and emotional qualities of his work while remaining clear and accessible.
-
The process began with research into Morricone’s life, compositions, and interviews. I analyzed common patterns in existing fan and archival sites, identified gaps in narrative flow, and developed a visual system that balanced cinematic atmosphere with functional hierarchy.

The final design uses a minimal, cinematic interface where black backgrounds and gold accents highlight imagery and guide navigation. Five sections combine visuals, sound, and text to create an immersive experience that reflects the emotional depth of Morricone’s music.

Film and music enthusiasts, composition students, and design lovers interested in exploring Morricone’s creative world.
VISUAL CONCEPT
The visual concept uses black, white, gray, and orange—black and white for Morricone’s timeless legacy, and orange for his spirit of innovation. Roboto is used for its clean, readable form on the web. A custom side-profile logo captures his iconic presence in a simple, recognizable mark.
PAGE DESIGN
The following pages present the final website design, showcasing the layout, structure, and visual rhythm across all six sections.
