-
The original Her poster relied on a single portrait, leaving space for a more immersive and flexible identity. The challenge was to convey the film’s warmth and intimacy while reflecting its futuristic, architectural setting and the protagonist’s isolation.
-
The process involved studying the film’s visual and emotional cues and developing concepts that balance intimacy with futurism. Exploration of color, texture, and spatial composition helped establish a unified visual system.
-
The final system combines warm gradients with geometric city silhouettes to express both emotional softness and technological structure. The protagonist walking alone between skyscrapers symbolizes his distance from others and his bond with the AI.
-
The project targets viewers drawn to science-fiction and romantic drama films, design-conscious audiences, and fans of the film’s actors and director.

EXTENSIONS
Extensions expands the visual identity into a series of real-world and digital touchpoints, including poster and billboard, vinyl packaging, a film website, and Netflix’s mobile and desktop interfaces.
OFFICIAL WEBSITE
Instead of a traditional hero poster, the website opens with a film still to create a more immersive entry into the cinematic world. The warm pink gradient and subtle textures echo the main poster for visual cohesion. The loading screen uses the computer interface from the AI heroine’s first appearance, further enhancing the sense of entering the film’s narrative space.
NETFLIX
The interface is also extended into Netflix mockups for both tablet and mobile displays.
